The Magic of Spring - Dum Dums Lollipop Garden!

We LOVE Dum Dums Lollipops!

What better way to usher in SPRING than with a magical lollipop garden! Start this fun tradition with your family this year!

Sophia and I are SOOO excited to be a part of #TheMagicofSpring with Spangler Candy, the makers of Dum Dums Lollipops.

We hope you enjoy the video tutorial we put together for you on how to make your very own Magical Spring Lollipop Garden!

Here are the basic "ingredients" we used:
1. Dum Dum Lollipops
2. Magic Jelly Beans :)
3. Cute containers
4. Crumbled up chocolate cake or brownies (I used store bought to save time). I also put some pound cake slices in the bottom of the containers so the suckers would "stick" better.
5. Edible Grass - you can also use coconut flakes mixed with a bit of green food coloring for edible grass too!
6. Lots of Fun and Love!!!!!!!

The point is to "plant" the magic jelly beans with your kids and have them be surprised the next day as the beans have sprouted into amazing Dum Dum Suckers! HOW CUTE!! You can incorporate this into your Easter celebration or simply as a fun way to celebrate spring.

Here are some basic step by steps - the video tutorial goes into more detail with some added fun:

1. Take your cute containers and line them with wax paper.

2. Use some pound cake to build up the bottom if needed

3. Crumble up your store bought brownies or cake or use whatever you have that will work for edible soil! YUM

4. Let the kiddos plant the magic jelly beans in the soil and VOILA, the next morning........MAGIC!

Take this idea and run or make your own. You can also do this outside, there are MANY ways to make this your own fun tradition. There are no rules, just have fun!

Snowman Nose Cookies in a Jar

Snowman Noses
Cookies in a Jar!!

We were inspired Disney's Olaf and the
scene where he loses his NOSE:

And going back through my past
posts one of the most popular of ALL time
were my GRINCH PILLS in a jar!

LINK TO POST CLICK HERE

So we merged the idea!

In an effort to keep things
fast & easy, I used store bought
mini round sugar cookies and I
cut them with a sharp knife into
little triangle shapes.

These cookies would work great!

We then used Betty Crocker cookie icing
in white and colored some orange.

It worked great!
~EASY ~

Using a Wilton tip #2, we piped
out the noses and covered them
with some orange sugar to add sparkle!

We decided to add a cute
Snowman cookie face
at the top of jar!

The cookie face was made with the
same Betty Crocker Icing in White.
The nose was made from the orange icing
left over from making all the little noses.
Once dry, we added the eyes and mouth with an Americolor Edible food writer in black.

You could easily add a orange tic tac for the nose
and food coloring applied with a toothpick.

The link to the printable we
used can be found by clicking

Hope you like this fun idea!

Hostess Ho Ho Reindeer - EASY! NO BAKE!

Hostess Ho Ho Reindeer Treats!

Here is what we used:
Hostess Ho Ho's
Reindeer Cupcake Decorating Kit from Wilton
Small Sugar Google Eyes from Wilton
Red Sixlet's for Nose
Our Imagination!

We did use a bit of Edible Gold Glitter
spray on the girl's antlers for added
SPARKLE!

If you can't find the Wilton Kit, you can use the
following items for your reindeer face:
*Pretzels for Antlers
*Mini marshmallows cut in half for eyes
*Food coloring can be applied to mini marshmallow with
toothpick to get eye color in center of marshmallow
*Red M&M for nose

These are really so easy and fun. We whipped
up a whole box of these and the clean up was
a BREEZE! I love NO BAKE items for those
busy working days when we want to make
a fun treat but time is limited.
Anyone can do this, and if you make these
we would LOVE to hear from you!

MINT OREO WITCHES LEGS ~ NO BAKE HALLOWEEN TREATS!

MINT OREO
WiTcHeS LeGS!

I got to tell ya friends, lately...TIME IS TIGHT
around the Sweetology Ranch.

So in the interest of those wanna-be supergals out there
(like moi) who mean well but don't have the time to
bake from scratch...I am going to offer up
some NO BAKE Halloween Treats this season!!

As my motto goes...FAST and FANCY.
Or maybe FAST and SPOOKY.

 I crafted up these easy
witches legs using some MINT OREOs
and a fun witches boot graphic.

That is ALL you need....oh and a plastic bag!

EASY.

FUN.

YUMMY.

CUTE!!!

I found the graphic at zazzle.com doing
a Google image search for "witches boot graphic".

You can either make your own boot or download
the one I did from zazzle - it was only $1.00!

Once the boot was cut out,
I adhered it to the bag with some tape!
"These boots are made for spookin...."

This will do the trick.
I bough the mini cupcakes already made

the little Popsicle toppers a la Party Pinching!!
