Rice Krispie Treat Christmas Lights!

Rice Krispie Treat Christmas Lights

Whenever I think of hanging Christmas lights,
my thoughts always turn to Chevy Chase
and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.

Hilarious.

Cousin Eddie....we all love Cousin Eddie.

To honor the annual tradition that is watching
this side splitting, hilarious folly, I decided to
make some Rice Krispie Christmas Lights.

I was inspired by an idea seen HERE!

You can either shape your own lights or I used
a Wilton Christmas light candy mold I bought earlier
this season. The how-to is super simple; just make your
marshie treats the usual way and split the melted marshie
mixture into separate bowls and add food coloring to make
the different colored lights. Add your krispies and
then mold into a sassy Christmas light shape!

I used a tootsie roll softened in the microwave for a few seconds and shaped around the bottom for the base of the light.

And last but not least...string up your lights with
a little help from some Twizzlers. YUM!

Holiday Season, please check it out and enter - CLICK HERE!

Trisha, these are so cute! I was wondering what the bottom of the lights were but didn't really care since I know chocolate when I see it. LOL
If I were to even make rice krispie squares, I'd have to eat them all since hubby doesn't like them - I'll just enjoy yours and think of the calories I'm saving.
