Pretty Person Pick Me Up Pansy Cookies ~ Tea Party Tuesday

Happy Tea Party Tuesday
I would like to share something special that
happened to me last week.
After a rather trying week, I came home to
find a package with the most amazing treasure inside, ever!
A collection of exquisitely decorated pansy cookies
with the following note:

I was humbled and shocked.
Unbeknown to me, I was nominated and won
the Pretty Person Pick Me Up that Nicole
hosted at her amazing blog Life's a Batch

I recognized these cookies right away as being
party of the amazing collection that was recently
featured by a group of FANTASTIC cookie bloggers
as part of the "Let's Smell the Flowers" Blog Party.

All I can say is that it could not have come at a better time.
I shared these with Sophia over milk and tea.
She is a special pretty person who always "picks me up"
so I thought it only fair.

Lately, I have found myself reading more
Elizabeth Kubler-Ross.  Many times she just knows
what to say to me when I am looking for answers.

So to the wonderful women who nominated me
and to Nicole for sharing her talents, compassion and sugar,
I leave you with one of her fitting quotes:

"If we make our goal to live a life of compassion and
unconditional love, then the world will indeed become
a garden where all kinds of flowers can bloom and grow".

~ Elizabeth Kubler-Ross

Thank you

After much thought, I have decided to eliminate the linky for
Tea Party Tuesday, for now. I began to feel so bad as the party grew if I could not visit and comment on each person who linked up!!

Blogging for me is about making sincere friendships and supporting
others who support me, not about growing a "following".

The whole point of Tea Party Tuesday began as a way to remind me to take time and enjoy the peace that came with having tea as
well as creating some wonderful treats to share.

I hope you continue to visit and share what you are doing
by leaving me a comment or a link to your blog.

Hello my friend,
I cannot think of a more deserving 'pretty person' to receive the pansy cookies! They are darling and I know you and your Sophia so appreciate them and the love that has been poured out on you! Congratulations!

I know what you mean too about visiting everyone who links up to your tea party. It is very time consuming.
I really enjoyed the quote today and I hope you have a delightful week filled with much love and pleasant moments.

Blessings and hugs,
Sandi

Dearest Trish,

WOW - how totally thoughtful of those gals...and those are the most beautiful cookies I have ever seen! I cannot imagine being able to make something like that.

I make really ugly cookies, haha.

LOVE your quote- and you do live by it - you spread sunshine whereever you go, my friend.

As for your linky party- no worries letting it go. But please always remember to take tea and to join all those awesome tea linkies - we would miss too much if you did not.

Big ginormous hugs to you and your sweet tea party princess.

Have a wonderful week.

Congratulations! I love reading things like this. I'm sorry I haven't been adding to your tea parties ~ just can't seem to organize myself to participate everywhere I'd like to. Your blog is wonderful, as are you, and I agree re: blogging friends vs. numbers.

So happy for you ~ enjoy the gorgeous cookies!

Hi Trish
Now there's cookie decorating talent! Wow, hope I can do something like the pansies down the road.
I'm so happy that you received this unexpected surprise just when you needed a lift.
Your quote is lovely; don't worry about being a host any more, just come and visit when you can. The whole time I was making my cupcakes I was thinking of you and that I'd finally made something with pizzazz.

Hello Trisha, Congratulations - perfect award! Gorgeous cookies. I struggle with the thought to visit everyone and to do all the other things I have to do. If my internet was faster I could get more done! Some days it is like molasses! Still sweet to visit each one. Small pun intended.
I hope you have a blessed week and thank you for continuing to share with A Return to Loveliness - you're a blessing,
Kathy

Hi Trish, That was a super special gift that did just what it intended to do. They were lovely flowers and you don't need to worry about forgetting to water them :) Take care of yourself and your family. We only get one shot, make it count.

Congratulations on the sweet award! Those are beautiful cookie flowers. Thanks for sharing your decision and do enjoy your family time. Who would pass up an opportunity to make pogo stick treats for a budding entrepreneur! And she will need someone to polish all those rocks -- love it!!
