MY FLAVOR OF ACCEPTANCE
This had to be one of the most profound things
anyone has ever said about me.
I do like my flavor of acceptance.

Living with a brain tumor, has it's ups and downs.
It has taken a long time for me
to find acceptance sweet.
It has taken a long time for me

Or to add the sprinkles for that matter.
But after hearing those words recently,
I realized that I do CHOOSE to live my life
each day with a cherry on top.
And after I thought for awhile and especially since it has already been a year since I started this blog, I realized that a big
part of my flavor of acceptance comes from following
my passions which include creating and writing Sweetology.
This, along with the inspiration I have received reading
so many other great blogs has really sweetened my life!

Someone that was very instrumental in helping me realize my
my love for cupcake art was Melissa at My Cake School.
Joining her online school was one of the best things
I did to grow my confidence, skills and spirit.

The flavor of acceptance pic that you posted can apply to so many things in life that we need to accept. Thank you so much for sharing it and reminding me to smile and keep moving forward.
My husband & I have lost 2 pregnancies during the 2nd trimester and we are still pushing on to become parents although we still grieve the loss of our 3 boys.
We are baking to raise money for adoption, after paying for IVF twice the funds are a little dry. ;) Please enter me into the contest, Lord knows we could use some classes, lol.

When my brother died in 1996, I wrote in a journal every single day for a year...it was so therapeutic. Everything I wanted to say out loud but couldn't, was written in that journal. I do not normally follow any bloggers but you are quite an inspiration. I work both in the health care field as an xray technologist and also decorate cakes. What a combination? I completely understand the calmness and serenity that making a cake or beautiful cupcake can have especially after a hard week of work (or being a patient).
