Luau Cupcakes

Both of my parents recently retired and
a few weeks back when the family
gathered upon their home in
Nebraska, we decided to
celebrate this milestone with a
Retirement Luau!

Fun times!

We had an old-fashioned water fight in their backyard
and ate some awesome food.

Of course I made the DESSERTS!

These little Luau Cupcakes were so CUTE!

Where do I get these great ideas, you ask???

Yep, My Cake School

This online cake decorating website
is nothing short of AMAZING!

I love the easy to follow video tutorials and also the wonderful
chat room/message boards offer a place to bounce ideas and get
inspiration and encouragement from other decorators.

She also has wonderful blog where she
offers some really neat decorating tips and ideas.

If you want to find out how I made these cakes just click HERE!

Make sure to leave a comment and tell her I sent you!

Have a great week!

How wonderful that your parents were able to retire together.

Adorable. And as things would go, I was talking to my soon-birthday girl today asking whether she wanted cupcakes or a "real" cake. . . maybe she'll like these! :)

It sounds like the party was a success and everyone had a great time. You asked about using the recipe for chicken as well as fish. It should work, though I suspect the time for cooking will be quite different. I hope you have a great day. Blessings...Mary

These are the cutest things I've ever seen. Such a great idea. Now, I'll have to plan a luau just to have an excuse to make them. I'd like to invite you to share your recipe on A Well-Seasoned Life's Sweet Indulgences Sunday.

Congratulations on your parent's retirement. So lovely that they reached this milestone together. Best wishes to them for many years enjoying the fruits of all their labours.

Your cupcakes are too cute for words. I know they were delicious too.

These are so cute Trisha and your parents look like they're having a blast.
I took cupcakes to a pot luck BBQ this afternoon and I'll be checking out the referred site - my icing ran & dripped down the sides of the cakes from the heat. They didn't look too appetizing. :-(
