Fun with Watermelon

Sometimes insomnia has it's perks.

Like, take for instance when you want to make some fun
things out of your basic watermelon chunks.

A mini tiered whimsical watermelon cake for example.....

How about some super cute watermelon flower pots
with marshmallow flowers??

Now that is my kind of garden!

Last but NOT least, I made these little baby carriages...

Now you can't tell me these wouldn't be the
CUTEST thing EVER at a summer baby shower!

If you brought these you would be the STAR of the WEEK!

You might get some sort of watermelon achievement award.

I am still waiting for mine....*insert crickets chirping here*

I had a great time making these fruit fun bites and think they are so versatile...perfect for a BBQ (wouldn't the neighbor ladies drop their jaws at your mad watermelon sculpting skills?), a playdate, a fun project to do with your kids or a TEA PARTY of course!!!

I think it is pretty obvious how these were made
(using various cookie cutters and cool whip - the flower above is made with left over star shaped marshmallows)
but if you have any questions just shoot me an email!

That watermelon cake is the best! My boys don't enjoy cake (crazy kids) so I'm always looking for 'cake-like' alternatives when the birthdays roll around. My oldest loves watermelon, this would be perfect!!!
